Aphids can be found in almost every summer cottage.
And in the fight against garden pests, all methods are good, both chemicals and folk remedies.
Gardeners decide how to treat their plants depending on the degree of their damage and the number of aphids in the garden.
Methods of protection against aphids
To keep your plot free of aphids, follow these simple recommendations:
- inspect plants periodically;
- remove weeds and plant debris;
- attract beneficial insects to the site;
- water the beds regularly;
- grow dill and phacelia on your plot;
- Fight anthills.
Once a month, treat the plants with “Aktofit”, “Aktoverm”, etc.
Of the folk remedies against aphids, plants with a strong smell have proven themselves well. Aphids will quickly react to the smell of tobacco, conifers or "fragrant" plants.
In addition, ordinary water works well against aphids. The liquid is supplied from a hose under pressure to wash the pests off the plants onto the ground.
They won't be able to climb back to the landings themselves.
