If you notice mold in your greenhouse, do not let it grow on the walls and structures of the building.
Any such formation, be it mushrooms, moss or mold (white, black or gray), warns of possible problems with the harvest in the future. That is why it is so important to carry out treatment.
We will tell you what and how to treat the soil in a greenhouse in early spring before sowing.
It is better not to plant seedlings in a greenhouse without treatment. Mold and fungus can lead to infection of vegetable crop shoots, which will affect the yield.
Often, recommendations on this matter suggest using chemicals, but they can harm the soil.
An equally effective option against mold, which can be used to treat even greenhouse soil, is peat liquor with a copper-containing preparation.
To prepare it, mix in 1.5 liters of water:
- 120 grams of dolomite flour or lime;
- ½ briquette of pressed high-moor peat;
- 1 gram of copper sulfate.
The peat must first be soaked in water for 5 hours, and then the remaining ingredients must be added.
The mixture is scattered on the ground in the greenhouse; if necessary, the treatment is repeated after three weeks.
