What Mistake Destroys Flowering Plants: Many Gardeners Do This and Then Regret It

Experienced florists told how one wrong move reduces all efforts to zero.

Houseplant lovers pamper and cherish their “green pets”: they water them, feed them, and choose better soil.

Finally, the moment comes when the efforts are rewarded - the plants bloom. Trying to prolong this period, gardeners make rash decisions.

When Spraying is Harmful

Many people think that watering the roots alone is not enough. So they take a spray bottle and spray the plants.

But this is not beneficial for all "green pets". For example, you should not do this with violets, begonias, orchids, Decembrist, gloxinia. Pelargonium, caladium and various succulents (money tree, cacti, Kalanchoe) also do not like spraying.

Spraying significantly shortens the flowering period. If you overdo it, dark spots will appear on the flowers and their decorative qualities will decrease.
