At the end of the summer cottage season, it is important to tidy up the garden, not just by collecting the dried tops and setting them on fire.

There are other equally important things to do, such as treating the soil from diseases. And if there is hope that pathogens will die in the open ground, then winter will not change anything in the greenhouse.

We will tell you how to cure the soil in a greenhouse where tomatoes have suffered from late blight.

Autumn

You need to start after harvesting. Remove the remains of tops and roots, then prepare a solution for processing from what is available at the dacha.

This can be potassium permanganate, iron or copper sulfate, Bordeaux mixture. Of the industrial preparations, "Fitosporin" or "Hom" are used.

Industrial fungicides are applied in strict compliance with the dosage, otherwise they can destroy soil microflora and other useful underground inhabitants.

Some components of such preparations decompose in the soil for about 6 months.

As for copper-containing preparations (copper sulfate, Bordeaux mixture or "Hom"), they are used for treatment no more than once every 2 years, since copper tends to accumulate in the soil.

Autumn cultivation is completed by digging up the soil.

Spring

In autumn, soil treatment in the greenhouse can be carried out by alternating iron sulfate and Bordeaux mixture, if no season goes by without late blight.

However, one autumn treatment is not enough. In the spring, it is necessary to complete what was started. To do this, according to the instructions, prepare a solution of phytosporin and add it to the soil.
