As is known, a good harvest of eggplants, as well as other crops with a long growing season, depends on the quality of the seedlings.

An expert of the online publication Belnovosti, agronomist, landscape designer Anastasia Kovrizhnykh told how to plant and care for seedlings so that the result pleases.

First, you need to germinate the seeds. To do this, place the seeds between cotton pads and moisten with warm water.

Place the resulting preparation in a plastic bag – let the eggplants stay here for 3-4 days.

Don't forget to check the seeds daily and moisten the disks. If you notice that the seed has sprouted, it should be planted immediately.

Since eggplants do not tolerate picking well, they should be protected from the need to carry out this procedure.

In this regard, it is recommended to use disposable cups with a capacity of 0.5 l for planting seeds. Compact the soil and place the sprouted seed in a 1 cm deep hole.

After the seed is covered with soil, do not forget to moisten it with a spray bottle.

Cover the container with film and put it in a warm place. When shoots appear, remove the film and put the seedlings in a cooler place for a week.

After this, the temperature can be increased to +23-25 degrees. The seedlings should be illuminated for up to 10 hours a day. Watering is carried out only when the soil dries out.
