It is becoming more and more difficult to choose a quality greenhouse from the variety that is presented on the market.

An expert of the online publication Belnovosti, agronomist, and landscape designer Anastasia Kovrizhnykh spoke about what you should pay attention to in order not to fall for the bait of unscrupulous sellers.

First, it is worth measuring the thickness of the metal profile. The most convenient way to do this is with a caliper. Do not buy greenhouses with a thickness of less than 1.2 mm.

Secondly, pay attention to the section of the frame profile - since 20x40 is stronger than 20x20, it is worth choosing the first option.

Thirdly, evaluate the density and thickness of the polycarbonate. Experts recommend the following ratio of these parameters: density 0.55 kg/sq. m, and thickness – 4 mm.

Fourthly, if you don't want to lose your greenhouse due to rust, make sure the metal is coated.

There are several options, including powder coating and painting, but galvanizing is considered the most reliable.

And fifthly, a mandatory component of a quality greenhouse is a UV coating. It should be in the form of a film, and not as an addition of some substance to the material. This point in the documentation is worth paying close attention to.
