To make carrots juicy, tasty and healthy, they need to be fed.
There are several methods that gardeners constantly use.
Feeding with bird droppings
Suitable for the first stages of plant growth. Bird droppings contain many useful substances.
It should be diluted with water in a ratio of 1/10, left to infuse for 24 hours, and then diluted again, keeping the same proportion. The mixture is used to feed the soil between the rows.
Top dressing with weed infusion
Weeds contain a lot of nitrogen and potassium. The tincture is prepared three weeks before use. Weed leaves should be placed in a jar and filled with boiling water.
Leave the jar open in the sun until it stops foaming, remembering to stir it from time to time.
If you use wormwood and an unpleasant odor appears, simply add a little tincture of valerian. When the solution is ready, you need to dilute it with water in a ratio of 1/10 and spray the shoots.
Ash feeding
Ash contains a lot of potassium, sodium and magnesium. It feeds the fruits well and protects them from harmful insects.
Ash can be used in two ways.
Loosen the soil and add 250 g of ash per 1 square meter and water.
Dilute 10 g of ash in 10 liters of water and leave to infuse for 24 hours.
Water the plants at the roots, avoiding the leaves.
Watering and spraying is carried out only when it is cool and there is no wind.
In hot weather, it is better to water carrots early in the morning or in the evening after sunset. This way the plants will be healthy and protected.
