Fertilizing will help you grow a good harvest of cucumbers, so it is worth choosing effective fertilizers.
One of them is yeast, thanks to which cucumbers grow faster and have a good taste.
What are the benefits of yeast?
These are single-celled fungi that then become food for microorganisms when they enter the soil.
After yeast gets into the soil, organic fertilizers are better absorbed. Cucumbers begin to grow faster if the soil was rich in organic matter at the initial stage.
Yeast solution, when planting seedlings, greatly accelerates the development of roots. This is due to the amino acids, proteins and microelements it contains. Healthy and developed roots better absorb moisture and nutrients from the soil, build up green mass and improve the quality of fruits. Foliar feeding with yeast will increase the immunity of plants. Such feeding has a long-term effect, so it is not necessary to use it often. You can use raw and dry yeast. Store fresh yeast in the freezer, and defrost it to the state of plasticine before preparing the fertilizer.
There are many fertilizer recipes:
Dissolve 1000 grams of fresh yeast in 5000 ml of warm water. Add 60 grams of sugar. Put the mixture in a dark place for 5 hours. Then add 50 liters of warm water and stir.
This solution will boost your immunity well. Dissolve 100 grams of yeast in 1000 ml of warm milk and leave for 4 hours.
Then add 10 liters of water and spray the cucumbers generously in the evening. You can also feed them by root feeding by pouring 1500 ml of fertilizer under 1 bush. To enhance the effect, add a glass of ash and a glass of chalk to 10 liters of fertilizer.
Ascorbic acid is a stimulator of strong inflorescences and fruits. It helps to cope with stress during extreme heat. Dissolve 10 grams of dry yeast and 2 grams of ascorbic acid in 5000 ml of water. Leave the mixture to infuse for 7 days in a warm and dark place. Dissolve the mixture with water in a ratio of 1 to 40 before use. You will need 500 ml of fertilizer per bush.
When to apply fertilizer?
- 10 days after planting in the ground. Do not forget to add nitrogen fertilizers before this.
- During flowering, before this, feed the cucumbers with phosphorus. The speed of development and the number of ovaries in cucumbers will increase.
- After the first harvest, the cucumbers will grow firm, crispy and delicious.
- You can feed cucumbers no more than 3 times during the entire growth period.
