In the spring, gardeners carry out a number of complex works, using special means for processing strawberries.
The preparations are effective and fight diseases and pests well.
Treatment with such agents will not harm the environment, soil or humans.
Pest control
Tomato tops. Grind the green tops of tomatoes, pour 10 liters of boiling water over them, leave for 4 hours, then let simmer on low heat for 30 minutes. Then cool, strain and treat the strawberries with the solution against strawberry mites.
Garlic. It helps to fight aphids well. You need to take 200-300 g of garlic, chop it, pour 10 liters of water and leave for 5-7 days, then treat the strawberries with the solution.
Dandelion. Dandelion is used against strawberry mites. You need to take 800 g of green dandelion, chop it and pour 10 liters of hot water, leave for 4-5 hours, stir and strain.
Wormwood. Grind the green part of wormwood 2 kg. and soak in 10 l. of water. Put on the fire and let it boil for 10 minutes.
In the same way, an infusion of wormwood is prepared. This remedy helps fight spider mites.
Onion peel. Fill a ten-liter bucket halfway with onion peel, pour boiling water over it, cover with a lid and leave to infuse for 48 hours. Dilute in half with water and treat strawberries against strawberry mites.
Hot red pepper. Take 100 g of pepper, pour 1 liter of water, bring to a boil, cook for an hour and let it brew for 48 hours. Dilute the infusion in a ratio of 1:30 and treat strawberries against weevils.
Suspension against ants: dilute 0.5 l. vinegar and 0.25 l. oil in 10 l. water.
Anti-disease remedies
Tansy. Fresh tansy 0.5 kg. should be crushed or take dry in the amount of 75 g. and pour 10 liters of water. Infuse for 24 hours, then put on the fire and let it boil for 20 minutes. Let it cool, strain and dilute with water in a ratio of 1:5. Treat strawberries against powdery mildew and strawberry mites.
Mustard. Add mustard powder to 10 liters of boiling water, let it sit for 2-3 days and dilute in half. Treat plants against gray mold.
Wood ash. If you sprinkle ash on plants and the soil around them, 70 grams per 1 sq. m., you can save them from rotting.
Hay. Pour 1 kg of rotted grass with 3 liters of water and let it sit for 5-6 hours. Then treat the strawberries against powdery mildew.
Laundry soap is added to each solution. It needs to be grated and diluted in hot water. This way the solution will stick to the bushes better.
