Not everyone manages to store garlic correctly after harvesting. Most make irreparable mistakes.

The most important thing is to observe the harvesting dates.

If you collect it too early or too late, it may spoil.

The first sign of ripe fruit is the protective skin, which bursts and inflorescences appear. The shoots become straight.

Don't forget to inspect the lower leaves, because yellowing ones indicate that the crop is ready to be harvested.

Once the garlic has been harvested, prepare it for storage.

The fruits are dried together with the stems under a canopy or indoors.

When it dries out, shake off the remaining soil, after which you can cut the stems, but not all the way to the head.

Place the garlic in boxes and store in a convenient place. Never put the garlic in a bag, otherwise it will start to rot.

You can burn dry roots with matches to extend the shelf life.
