Many gardeners fertilize their beds with manure the old-fashioned way, not suspecting the existence of a fertilizer that is ten times more useful.
We will talk about the Japanese fertilizer bokashi. If you learn how to prepare this valuable fertilizer, the harvest will always be at its best.
How to make bokashi
You will need 3 kilograms of bran, 300 grams of salt and sugar, 300 milliliters of any EM preparation and two and a half liters of water. You can also add a glass of fish meal.
Dissolve salt in warm water first, then sugar, add the EM preparation.
Place the bran and fish meal in a large plastic bowl, pour in the resulting solution, and stir.
Then we transfer the mixture into a thick dark plastic bag, squeeze out the air, tie it up and put it in a dark, warm place.
The higher the temperature, the better. At a temperature of +30-35 degrees, the fertilizer will ripen in 10-14 days, at +20 – in 30-40 days.
The finished fertilizer should be used within 10-15 days. Store in a cool place.
