The American currency has been strengthening against the Belarusian ruble for the second week.
The head of the Belarusian government, Roman Golovchenko, explained why this is happening on the air of the “Main Ether” program on the “First Information” TV channel.
Why is the dollar rising in price?
The Prime Minister noted that he does not see any tension in this matter.
According to him, the economic policy being pursued in the country has instilled confidence in the national currency in people, as evidenced by the steady growth of ruble deposits against the backdrop of a reduction in foreign currency deposits.
What is happening now is a temporary phenomenon, Golovchenko said on the air of First Information Channel .
According to the Prime Minister, the current strengthening of the dollar is connected, in particular, with the re-election of Donald Trump as US President.
Everyone expects the dollar to be stronger. Accordingly, currency futures already take this adjustment into account. They may well rebound later, the head of government explained, recalling that before this the Belarusian ruble had strengthened against the dollar.
