Several countries have encountered problems with dollars issued before 2013.
They refuse to accept such banknotes there. And if they do accept the banknotes, then at a considerable discount.
It cannot be ruled out that the United States will refuse to fulfill its obligations regarding banknotes printed more than 10 years ago.
There are quite a few such banknotes. In addition, they are circulated all over the planet.
The relevant information was shared by Anatoly Aksakov, a Russian deputy and chairman of the State Duma Committee on Financial Markets, reports Parliamentary Newspaper .
Three types of dollars
According to the expert, dollar bills are divided into several types.
The first type is “green” banknotes, issued before 1996.
The second type is “white” dollars, which were printed between 1996 and 2013.
The third variety is the “blue” dollars, issued since 2013.
"Old" banknotes are less secure. Banknotes of the first two types are reluctantly accepted by credit and financial institutions, Aksakov emphasized.
Unfortunately, this is the situation, and I admit that the Americans could screw everyone over, the Parliamentary Newspaper quotes the representative of the highest legislative body of the Russian Federation as saying.
The expert noted that the US authorities had previously claimed that they were responsible for the printed banknotes.
However, at the moment, Aksakov added, we can see the beginning of Washington’s actual refusal to fulfill its obligations to those who hold “old” dollars.
Which currency is worth paying attention to?
In such a situation, the deputy recommends that Russians exercise caution and “work more” with the Russian currency.
Aksakov has no doubt: the Central Bank of the Russian Federation will take all measures to ensure the stability of the Russian ruble.
