Cocoa beans have become more expensive around the world.
Against this backdrop, some Belarusian sweet tooths are probably wondering: “Will the prices for New Year’s candy sets go up?”
Good news for lovers of confectionery: apparently, there will be no increase in the price of sweet gifts for the New Year.
This is evidenced by the statement of Nikita Malashkov, a representative of the open joint-stock company Spartak.
According to the expert, the rise in the price of cocoa beans will not affect the prices of holiday candy sets.

Malashkov confirmed that cocoa beans have indeed become more expensive in 2024.
At the same time, the specialist emphasized that the main consumers of holiday candy sets are children.
And young sweet tooths, as noted by the representative of JSC Spartak, do not show much interest in dark chocolate, which has a high cocoa bean content.
Therefore, this price increase did not affect the New Year campaign in any way, sb.by quotes a statement made by Malashkov during a press conference at the National Press Center.
According to the expert, the cocoa content in confectionery products has remained the same.
At the same time, the cost of the candies included in the New Year sets has also not changed.
