The Council of Ministers of Belarus has introduced licensing for the export of apples, onions and white cabbage.
The corresponding resolution was signed by the head of government Roman Golovchenko.
The Council of Ministers' telegram channel reports on the signing of the document.
How will licensing for the export of apples, cabbage and onions work?
As explained by the press service of the Council of Ministers, licensing was introduced to provide the domestic market with agricultural products in full during the off-season.
Apples, onions and white cabbage, regardless of country of origin, will be exported under one-time licenses.
They will be issued by the Ministry of Antimonopoly Regulation and Trade in agreement with the regional executive committees (Minsk City Executive Committee).
The decision on whether to issue a license will be made by authorized bodies based on an assessment of the ratio of available resources of the product and the country's need for it.
The restriction will be in effect for 3 months, the statement said.
