It has recently become known that Belarus and Russia plan to determine the parameters of a further contract for gas supplies next year.
The discussion of this issue also includes the topic of prices for natural gas.
The TASS agency reports this with reference to a statement by the head of the Belarusian Ministry of Energy, Alexei Kushnarenko.
The minister said that the parties have a “consultation period” on the issue.
Moreover, he added, Minsk and Moscow are already approaching such consultations.
Our task is to formulate a pricing policy for the subsequent period by 2025. We can make a decision during 2025, Kushnarenko said.
Earlier, in February of this year, the Ambassador of Belarus to the Russian Federation Dmitry Krutoy announced the countries' intention to reduce prices for Russian gas for the republic after 2026.
