Properly prepared pancakes do not cause much harm to health.
However, if you have certain illnesses, it is better to avoid eating this dish.
Russian nutritionist Elena Solomatina spoke about this.

The expert's recommendations are cited by Vechernyaya Moskva .
Who shouldn't eat pancakes
As Solomatina explained, the average person can eat up to 4 pancakes a day.
It depends on age, lifestyle and other factors, the expert noted.
You should avoid eating pancakes if you have decompensated diabetes mellitus and digestive system diseases such as ulcers, cholecystitis, and pancreatitis.
If you are overweight, you should consume this dish with caution.
You can make pancakes healthier by reducing the amount of sugar and adding fiber.
This could be, for example, buckwheat or bran, the nutritionist said.
She also recommended not to overindulge in pancakes, which are prepared in cafes and at events dedicated to Maslenitsa.
If such pancakes are eaten every day in unlimited quantities, even a healthy person may become worse, the specialist warned.
