Detox days, or, in simple terms, juice fasting, is one of the cleansing diets, during which it is assumed that the diet includes only vegetable or fruit mixtures.
During a juice fast, you are allowed to drink both freshly squeezed and pre-prepared drinks.
The diet lasts no more than three days, although sometimes its duration can reach a whole week, but this happens in rare cases.
Of course, such fasting days have not only their advantages, but also disadvantages, as well as contraindications.
Safe juice unloading
A juice detox diet will only be safe if you do not suffer from diabetes, gastritis or other diseases related to the gastrointestinal tract.
Another contraindication is an eating disorder.
Finally, you must be prepared for the fact that the lost kilograms may return again.
Detox Juice Recipes
As a short-term diet or as a replacement for one of the meals, you can use drinks prepared according to the following recipes.
- Apple with added lemon, ginger and beetroot.
- Another apple based drink, but this time using pineapple, lemon and mint.
- Apple juice can also be mixed with cucumber, celery, romaine lettuce, lemon, spinach, kale and parsley.
- A drink made from filtered water with added cayenne pepper, lemon, almonds, dates, sea salt and vanilla.
