But we must not forget about contraindications.

Nutritionist Irina Mansurova spoke about them in more detail in a conversation with representatives of the AiF publication.

As the doctor noted, it is better for those who have been diagnosed with irritable bowel syndrome, as well as other problems with the gastrointestinal tract, such as gastritis with high acidity, ulcers, to avoid plums.

In addition, as Mansurova said, those who have an allergy to fruits should be more careful with plums. In this case, there is a risk of an attack.

If you have rheumatism, gout, or urolithiasis, you should also avoid eating such fruits.

It should be taken into account that plums can have a laxative and diuretic effect.

Nursing mothers should not get carried away with plums either. In this case, the woman and the child may experience bloating.
