Your cabinets are peeling, your table is covered in stains, and you don’t have the money for a new set.
What if all you need is a roll of tape and a pack of salt to make your kitchen sparkle like something out of a magazine? The first step is to remove the old knobs and cover the holes with reinforced tape.
Paint it with acrylic to match the cabinets and the defects will disappear.
Now the tabletop. Mix salt with vegetable oil to form a paste, rub into the scratches and leave for an hour. Rinse off – minor damage will “heal” thanks to the abrasive particles.
For deep cracks, use regular candle wax: heat it with a lighter, fill the crack and polish with a cloth.
Does the apron above the stove look dull? Stick transparent self-adhesive window stickers on it and draw patterns with markers. When you get tired of it, just peel the film off.
