These design techniques should have been left in the interiors of the 2000s: they are hopelessly outdated

Trends in the world of interior design can be compared to people: some leave quietly, without saying goodbye, while others say goodbye but stay.

And while style experts are constantly making predictions about what will be fashionable in the coming years, expert of the online publication BelNovosti, designer Yulia Tychino, suggests paying attention to outdated interior solutions.

Venetian plaster

Venetian plaster evokes associations with luxury, wealth, pomp and palace elegance, which makes it inappropriate for small apartments.

If you do not live in a spacious three-room apartment or a large country house, where the interior is decorated in a classic style, do not use such decor. Otherwise, you will make the interior heavy and turn your cozy nest into an unsuccessful example of eclecticism.

Soft corner in the kitchen

Previously, it was believed that a kitchen corner is ideal for a small kitchen, since it takes up little space and can accommodate 3-4 people. At the same time, it was noted that such furniture overloads the interior and looks too heavy.

If you want to add style and lightness to the room, replace the kitchen nooks with comfortable chairs (made of wood or metal, your choice) and match them with a round table.

Meaningless decor

Functionality is the basis of modern design, so it is worth reviewing your things and either finding a useful use for them, or sending them to the closet or to the landfill.

Get rid of useless things: posters with primitive graphics, empty boxes in the hallway, plastic containers in the kitchen and artificial plants.
