Both swing and sliding wardrobes have their advantages, so choosing furniture can be a difficult task for an apartment owner.
To simplify it, listen to the expert of the online publication BelNovosti, designer Yulia Tychino , who compared these two options.
Aesthetics
Modern trends indicate that facades that are in one plane (and this can be said about wardrobes with hinged doors, but not about sliding wardrobes) look much calmer, neater and more aesthetically pleasing.
Perfect fit
When installing a swing wardrobe, it is possible to perfectly align its base with the skirting boards.
Saving space
If you compare a swing wardrobe with a sliding wardrobe with the same volume of interior space, it turns out that the depth of the swing wardrobe will be 55-60 cm, while for a sliding wardrobe this figure is closer to 70 cm - those same 10 cm are occupied by the sliding system with guides.
Ease of use
Hinged doors are more durable and reliable than sliding doors. They do not require special care and last longer than sliding wardrobes, the guides of which must be regularly cleaned of small debris, dust and hair.
Graceful sweep
The sliding wardrobe also has its advantages. First of all, it is ideal for narrow spaces where the wardrobe doors simply cannot be opened.
Evasiveness
A sliding wardrobe is also less sensitive to uneven walls and floors, unlike its counterpart with hinged doors - due to floor defects, its doors simply will not be able to close tightly, without gaps.
Earlier we talked about what decorative little things can help to liven up the interior.
