How to Store Things You Need to Have on Hand Every Day: Just Don't Put Them on a Chair

Not all people put their clothes away in the closet right away after taking them off. Some use a chair for this purpose. Over time, a mountain of clothes forms on this chair, making it difficult to find your favorite T-shirt hidden under the heaps of things.

BelNovosti online publication expert and designer Yulia Tychino shared her life hacks that she uses to store such things.

If you don't want to put your clothes away in your closet every time, consider using a floor rail or valet hanger.

This approach has its pros and cons. The advantages include the fact that clothes do not accumulate on the chair and things are in an orderly state. The disadvantage is that all wardrobe items remain in sight.

Another option is to set aside a separate shelf in the closet for items that are not the freshest.

Unfortunately, there is not always free space in the wardrobe, so this option is not suitable for everyone.

If you don't have a free shelf, you can fold your clothes in the same compartments as your clean ones, but upside down to avoid confusion.

By the way, the problem can arise not only with the items of clothing that you take off after work, but also with home clothes, such as pajamas, robes, T-shirts and sweatpants.

To avoid these items piling up on hooks in the bathroom or on the armrests of the sofa, set aside a separate drawer in your dresser for them. If you don’t have a dresser, you can fold your clothes in a ottoman with a hinged lid, for example. You can also store items you wear often here, but that aren’t ready to be washed yet.
