Modern interior design fashion, compared to what it was before, is not so categorical - this means that you can use any colors to decorate your home.

But when it comes to the bedroom, designer Yulia Tychino, an expert at the online publication BelNovosti, advises to slow down: because of some shades, being in this room will most likely become uncomfortable.

What color is not suitable for the bedroom

One of them is purple, which is controversial not only when it comes to the bedroom, but also when it comes to the interior in general.

Purple is a very complex color because it is based on the combination of two contrasting colors, blue and red, each of which has its own unique properties.

So, blue has a calming effect, while red has an exciting effect.

This “confrontation” is responsible for the negative effect that arises – if the walls in the bedroom are purple, it is very likely that you will have difficulty falling asleep and wake up in a depressed mood.

What can replace this color in the interior?

Instead of relying on purple, pay attention to the blue and blue palette, the colors of the sky and water, which are perceived positively by the psyche.

More diluted and muted shades will help create a sense of calm, serenity and spaciousness in the bedroom, which will help you relax faster and prepare for sleep.

True, there are some nuances here – a bedroom decorated in blue colors should have good lighting. The ideal option is when the windows face south. You can complement such a room with white furniture, which will make the interior light and airy.
