This is the same part of the house that can and should be decorated. But more often than not, new residents make the same mistakes.
Yulia Tychino, an expert of the online publication "BelNovosti" in the field of design and interior, told us what mistakes should be avoided when decorating a hallway.
Lighting
If a long and narrow corridor is left poorly lit, it will turn into a ravine. The overhead light will clearly not be enough. You can highlight the closet, mirror, paintings and other decor on the walls.
Walls
The walls in the hallway can be boldly painted in bright colors. You can make it sunny, bright and positive.
You can use wallpaper with a pattern on one of the walls, which will make the space more dynamic and impressive.
Trash
You shouldn't store skis, bicycles, other sports equipment or unnecessary things here.
It is also not worthwhile to build cabinets and shelves or put chests of drawers in a narrow hallway to store junk.
Mirrors
This is not just a useful thing. For the hallway, this is an additional opportunity to visually expand the space and make it lighter.
If you install a mirror at the end of the corridor, it will seem longer, and if on the side walls, the space will seem wider.
