Renovation in the bathroom or kitchen is accompanied by laying tiles. Whole families come to choose tiles, argue for a long time, and then it turns out that there is another serious issue: the color of the grout between the tiles.
Usually people choose white, but this is not the most practical option – you will have to wash it often.
Yulia Tychino, an expert of the online publication "BelNovosti" in the field of design and interior, told how to choose a color for grouting between tiles.
There is something to think about. You have to choose from dozens of colors. And even more shades. Some compositions can be tinted to your taste.
Popular solutions
As already mentioned, the most commonly used color is white in all its variety of shades.
The next option is color-to-color tinting.
Contrasting solutions are also used.
Universal white
This color is suitable for any options on the wall. Therefore, if there are doubts and there is no agreement among family members, it makes sense to choose white. It will suit everyone.
But on the floor, white seams will constantly get dirty; it’s better to choose the same color as the tiles.
Color in color
An excellent option when you need to achieve a coherent perception of space. By the way, this approach is also used when you need to hide crooked or uneven seams.
Contrast
The main condition is that the tiles must be laid perfectly. A contrasting solution will reveal any flaw.
As for examples, white grout is suitable for a black background and vice versa.
Brown goes with yellow and black, green with orange and black.
Red with black, grey and blue, and yellow tiles will look good with purple or black grout.
