Mistakes in Kitchen Interior Design: Why You Shouldn't Trust Glossy Magazines

Designers advise planning a kitchen based on personal preferences and habits, rather than looking at pictures from glossy magazines.

Giving in to the trends of fashion, you can do something that you will later regret more than once. Here are the mistakes that are often made when decorating the kitchen interior.

Narrow passage

There should be enough space between the kitchen unit and the dining table or other interior detail so that you can walk through, not squeeze through. A minimum of 80 cm, and 120 cm of free space is even better.

Corner sink

For many, this is normal. In fact, it is not the most convenient place to wash dishes and access the trash can. The same applies to placing cooktops in the corner.

Weak hood

If the hood is weak or does not work well, the problem will soon make itself known. The smell will appear throughout the entire apartment. Experts do not recommend using models with a carbon filter, which take up to 20% of the power. It is also not the best option to place the equipment away from the ventilation opening. Due to the bends and length of the corrugation, up to 3% of the power is lost at each meter and up to 20% at each corner.

Facades

It is better to refuse glossy coatings in the kitchen. They are spectacular, but cause a lot of trouble during cleaning. And some natural materials, such as marble, can be stained or destroyed by vinegar or citric acid.

Sockets

Last but not least, the lack of outlets is a shame. You have to use extension cords or switch plugs frequently, which is inconvenient in any case.
