It is unlikely that anyone who is planning a kitchen renovation will consider useful recommendations that will help avoid mistakes in this difficult process unnecessary.
That is why the expert of the online publication BelNovosti, designer Yulia Tychino, has compiled a short cheat sheet about which ideas should definitely be implemented in the kitchen, and which solutions, on the contrary, are better to refuse.
We will start, of course, with the facades. According to the expert, it is worth choosing matte facades - they are less likely to scratch, and fingerprints are not so noticeable on them.
An important nuance: the color of the kitchen should be lighter than the floor covering.
Next in line in our review is the countertop. A quality countertop should be able to support two people, and the ideal material for it is quartz – it will not flinch in front of knives and hot pans.
Acrylic, however, cannot boast such qualities – it is prone to scratches and stains due to temperature changes.
Here we come to the apron. Here you have several options - you can make this part of the kitchen from tiles or use the same material for it as for the countertop.
Please note: the apron should be installed so that its material rests on the countertop. This will help you avoid using sealants and baseboards.
