Tiles in the bathroom
When decorating bathrooms, a mix of finishing materials is increasingly used. For example, popular combinations include tiles with paint or wallpaper.
Although this solution is quite affordable, you should be prepared for difficulties in the process.
Difficulties arise at the stage of installing the casing. If you attach the casing after installing the tiles, then in places where paint or wallpaper is applied to the wall, a rather noticeable gap will form.
To get rid of it, you will have to tinker with the putty - first choose the right shade, and then work on eliminating the gap.
You probably already guessed what needs to be done so that you don’t have to deal with correcting the mistake – first you need to install the casing, and then start laying the tiles.
Flooring in the kitchen
Choosing a kitchen floor covering requires special attention, as the kitchen can be called a "high-risk zone". Just one careless movement - and a pot, lid or frying pan flies to the floor. Spilled liquids also damage the flooring, which also often happens during cooking.
Therefore, it is recommended to avoid using ceramic tiles, laminate and parquet.
You will also have to regret the rough materials, as this will create additional difficulties during cleaning.
What to choose? The best options for the kitchen are linoleum and self-leveling flooring.
Built-in appliances
You can also get into trouble with built-in appliances. If you don’t want to face inconveniences in the future, carefully consider the placement of built-in appliances.
Try to keep the equipment at your waist or chest level.
By the way, all of the above applies equally to switches - it is better to place them lower so that your family members do not have to reach.
