This recipe is not only useful for the New Year's table. This light and original Georgian snack will be in demand all year round.

It does not contain vinegar or other preservatives, but only the most useful and natural ingredients.

Expert of the online publication "BelNovosti" Yulia Arkhipova - a cook, fourth-category baker told how to prepare a beetroot snack.

You will need:

  • beetroot 400 g;
  • walnuts 150 g;
  • garlic 3 cloves;
  • nutmeg (ground) 0.5 tsp;
  • hops-suneli 0.5 tsp;
  • dried cilantro 0.5 tsp;
  • salt and pepper to taste.

How to cook

1. Boil the beets, peel and chop using a meat grinder.

2. Walnut kernels can be dried and then crushed into crumbs.

3. Press the garlic and mix it with the spices on the list and add salt and pepper to taste.

4. Mix beets, garlic with spices and herbs, add nutmeg.

Form small balls from this mixture, bread them in nut crumbs and place them on a plate. Enjoy your meal!
