Guests will be afraid to touch this salad for a long time, but only because of its beauty.
The snack will be a decoration for the New Year's table, but once it is tasted, it will be gone very quickly.
Expert of the online publication "BelNovosti" Yulia Arkhipova - cook, fourth-category baker told how to prepare the salad "Christmas wreath".
You will need:
- chicken fillet 300 g;
- champignons (marinated) 350 g;
- pineapples (canned) 250 g;
- eggs 4 pcs;
- cheese 100 gr;
- onions (bulb) 2 pcs;
- sour cream 200 g;
- mayonnaise 200 gr;
- mustard 20 g;
- table vinegar 2 tbsp;
- sugar 1 tbsp;
- salt 1/2 tsp;
- water 100 ml;
- fresh dill.
How to cook
1. Boil the chicken fillet in salted water until done, boil the eggs hard.
2. Peel the onion, cut into small cubes, pour boiling water (100 ml), add salt, sugar, table vinegar and marinate for 10-15 minutes.
3. Mix sour cream, mayonnaise and mustard for salad dressing.
4. Cut the chicken fillet into medium cubes, the eggs can be chopped or grated on a coarse grater.
5. Cut the pineapples into cubes, grate the cheese on a coarse grater, cut the mushrooms into small slices.
6. Mix all ingredients (including pickled onions) in a salad bowl, pour in the dressing, and stir.
7. Form the salad: place a glass in the center of the dish and place the salad around it, packing it tightly.
Decorate the resulting ring with sprigs of fresh dill on top. Let the salad sit in the refrigerator and serve.
