How to make a salad "Chicken in a fur coat": light and very tasty

The “Herring under a fur coat” salad has earned the high title of one of the traditional New Year’s dishes over its long culinary history.

Housewives don't know many traditional Christmas dishes, except for kutia and cake. Perhaps this recipe will become that dish.

Expert of the online publication "BelNovosti" Yulia Arkhipova - a cook, fourth-category baker told how to cook and what is needed.

You will need:

  • chicken fillet 400 g;
  • eggs 4 pcs;
  • cucumbers (pickled) 2 pcs;
  • potatoes 3 pcs;
  • cheese 100 gr;
  • mayonnaise.

How to cook

1. Boil the chicken fillet in salted water until done and leave to cool in the broth.

2. When the chicken has cooled, cut into thin strips or separate into fibers.

3. Boil the potatoes in their skins and hard-boil the eggs. Then peel and grate on a coarse grater.

4. Cut the cucumbers into thin strips and grate the cheese on a fine grater.

5. Lay out the salad in layers. It is easier to do this using a culinary ring.

First we put the potatoes, then the chicken, cucumbers and eggs.

Grease each layer with mayonnaise. Then coat the salad with mayonnaise on all sides and sprinkle with cheese.

Let it sit in the refrigerator and serve. Enjoy!
