This is exactly the kind that allows you to make lard that tastes like smoked lard.
Expert of the online publication "BelNovosti" Yulia Arkhipova - a cook, fourth-category baker told how to cook and what is needed.

You will need:
- lard with a layer 1 kg;
- garlic 2 heads;
- ground black pepper 3 tbsp;
- onion peel 2 handfuls;
- prunes 5 pcs;
- bay leaf 2 pcs;
- salt 200 g;
- sugar 2 tbsp.
How to cook
1. Cut the lard into pieces of the desired size, wash it, dry it, peel the garlic.
2. Bring 1 liter of water to a boil and add all ingredients except garlic and black pepper.
3. Place the lard in the marinade and cook over medium heat for 25 minutes from the moment it boils. Then leave the lard in the marinade for 12 hours.
4. Chop the garlic and mix it with black pepper, remove the lard from the marinade, dry it and rub it with this mixture.
You can store it in cling film in the refrigerator for a week.
To preserve for a longer period, place the lard in the freezer. Enjoy!
