Carrots are one of the healthy root vegetables, but as an independent culinary ingredient they are found on the table only in Korean salad.
Most housewives use the vegetable to prepare salads, soups, preserves, and bake meat and fish.
Expert of the online publication "BelNovosti" Yulia Arkhipova - a cook, fourth-class baker told how to make a delicious dessert from carrots.
You will need:
- carrots 250 g;
- eggs 2 pcs;
- sugar 100 g;
- flour 80 g;
- baking powder 10 g;
- butter 10 gr
- vegetable oil 30 ml;
- a pinch of salt.
How to cook
1. Peel the carrots and grate them on a fine grater, add eggs, vegetable oil and mix everything thoroughly.
2. Sift flour into a separate bowl, add sugar, salt, baking powder and mix everything thoroughly.
3. Add the carrot-egg mixture to the flour and knead into a homogeneous dough.
4. Prepare a baking pan, grease it with butter, pour the dough into it and spread it in an even layer over the entire surface.
Place the pan in an oven preheated to 180 degrees Celsius and bake for 30-40 minutes.
