Cake is an integral “attribute” of perhaps any holiday.

This dish has only one drawback, which becomes obvious when cutting it: the pieces often turn out uneven, fall apart - and in general there may not be enough dessert to treat everyone gathered.

However, you will not have to face the above problems if you use the trick suggested by the expert of the online publication BelNovosti, chef Yulia Arkhipova.

The method of cutting the cake suggested below will allow each guest to receive their own piece of the treat, and all of them will be even and the same size.

To do this, you first need to cut the cake in half, and then divide each of the halves into segments. This should be done in a zigzag, changing the direction of the knife at different angles - first in one direction, then in the other.

So instead of the standard eight pieces of cake, you get twelve.

And if you divide the resulting pieces in half, then more than two dozen people will be able to taste the main dish of the holiday.

This method actually solves one of the most common problems that can arise when cutting a cake.

The main thing that is required of the person cutting the cake is to ensure that the first cut line goes exactly down the center of the dessert. This ensures that the pieces are the same size.
