Peppers, zucchini, and sometimes even pumpkins are often stuffed, but such tricks are rarely performed with tomatoes.

And it’s completely in vain, because the result is a fresh and very nutritious snack with a filling of cottage cheese, feta cheese and herbs.

Expert of the online publication "BelNovosti" Yulia Arkhipova, a cook and fourth-class baker, told how to cook.

You will need:

  • tomatoes - 5 pcs.;
  • cottage cheese - 200 g;
  • feta cheese - 150 g;
  • garlic - 2 cloves;
  • sour cream - 2 tbsp;
  • olives, herbs and spices to taste.

How to cook

1. The tops of clean tomatoes need to be cut off to create a smooth base, as well as the place where the stalk is attached.

2. Then, through the hole made at the base of the stalk, use a teaspoon to remove the seeds and core so that only the hollow walls of the fruit remain.

4. Add spices and salt to taste to the resulting mixture, mix well and stuff the tomatoes.

You can decorate the appetizer with olive halves or sprinkle it with chopped herbs. Enjoy!
