The classic recipe for pickled tomatoes is whole vegetables with onions and allspice.
A snack that is always welcome on the table in winter. But there is a way to prepare tomatoes for the winter that you won't be ashamed to put on the festive table.
Expert of the online publication "BelNovosti" Yulia Arkhipova - a cook, fourth-class baker told how to cook.
You will need:
- tomatoes 1 kg;
- garlic 2-3 cloves;
- allspice 2-3 peas;
- ground coriander 1 tsp;
- vegetable oil 50 ml;
- salt 1.5 tsp;
- sugar 1.5 tsp;
- vinegar (9%) 30 ml;
- dill and basil to taste.
How to cook
1. For canning, choose plum tomatoes with dense pulp and skin. They need to be washed and cut into four parts.
2. Place in a bowl, sprinkle with salt, sugar, coriander and add garlic passed through a press. Mix and add vinegar with vegetable oil, leave for 15 minutes.
3. Place the mixture in sterilized jars up to the very top and cover with lids.
4. Place the jars in a saucepan with water and put everything on the fire to sterilize for 15-20 minutes.
5. When ready, roll up the jars, turn them over and keep them under a blanket until they cool, and then put them away for storage.
