Unlike all vegetables, eggplants are not given away because they appear on the table quite rarely.
It's time to get out of the habit of thinking that this vegetable is only good for making rolls and caviar. It is a universal ingredient for quick snacks or a full dinner.
Expert of the online publication "BelNovosti" Yulia Arkhipova - a cook, fourth-class baker told how to bake eggplants deliciously.
You will need:
- eggplants 2-3 pcs;
- vegetable oil 3 tbsp;
- paprika 1 tsp;
- mixture of aromatic herbs 1 tsp;
- garlic 2-5 cloves;
- salt, pepper to taste,
- fresh herbs.
How to cook
1. Clean eggplants should be cut crosswise into small circles 1-1.5 cm thick.
2. To remove the bitterness, you need to salt the preparations and leave the eggplants for 15 minutes, then rinse with water.
3. In a bowl, mix the vegetable oil and spices according to the list. Pass the garlic through a press and mix thoroughly.
4. After the oil is soaked with the aromas of spices and garlic, immerse the eggplants in it.
5. Leave the vegetables to marinate for 10-15 minutes, preheat the oven to 200 degrees Celsius.
Place the blanks in a mold or on a baking sheet lined with parchment paper and bake.
Sprinkle with chopped herbs before serving. Enjoy!
