Among other winter preparations, the most widespread is the preparation of cucumbers. They are salted, pickled, canned individually and with other vegetables.
Every housewife has a couple of favorite recipes. But this recipe definitely has a place on the shelf.
Expert of the online publication "BelNovosti" Yulia Arkhipova - a cook, fourth-category baker told how to pickle cucumbers in Finnish style.
You will need:
- cucumbers 1.5 kg;
- water 1.5 l;
- sugar 100 g;
- salt 60 g;
- mustard seeds 1/2 tbsp;
- bay leaf 2 pcs;
- vinegar (9%) 100 ml.
How to cook
1. Clean cucumbers should be cut into thick medallions.
2. To prepare the marinade, add the spices listed to the water, and after the water boils, add vinegar.
3. Next, add the sliced cucumbers to the hot marinade and bring everything to a boil again. The cucumbers may change color, but should retain a dense structure.
4. Place the mixture into sterilized jars along with the marinade, roll up the jars, turn them over and cover, leaving them like this until they cool completely.
Once ready, the preparations are stored in a cool place.
