Ideal canned tomatoes should taste slightly sweet, which depends on the marinade. To prepare it, you need to follow the recipe and technology exactly.
This is the recipe that became popular among Soviet housewives, and the preserves could be stored at room temperature.
Expert of the online publication "BelNovosti" Yulia Arkhipova - a cook, fourth-class baker told how to marinate ideal tomatoes for the winter.
You will need:
- tomatoes 2 kg;
- onion;
- garlic 3 cloves;
- dill 1-2 umbrellas,
- currant and cherry leaves 2-3 pcs;
- salt 2 tbsp;
- sugar 4 tbsp;
- vinegar (9%) 4 tbsp.
How to cook
1. Wash the tomatoes and pierce them with a fork or toothpick (the skin will not burst from the hot marinade).
2. Place cherry and currant leaves, chopped garlic, onion cut into rings, dill umbrellas, and then tomatoes on the bottom of a clean 3-liter jar.
3. When everything is ready, pour boiling water over it, leave for 8-10 minutes, pour the water into a saucepan, bring it to a boil, add vinegar, salt and sugar.
4. Pour hot marinade into the jars, roll up, turn over and leave covered until cool.
Afterwards you can put it away for storage.
