No matter how tasty pickles may seem, any housewife considers it her duty to marinate one or two jars for variety.
You can cook according to your favorite recipe, or you can try something new every year.
Expert of the online publication "BelNovosti" Yulia Arkhipova, a cook and fourth-class baker, told how to pickle cucumbers in Bulgarian style.
It will be required
- cucumbers - 2 kg;
- water - 1.5 l;
- parsley and dill - 4-5 sprigs;
- peppercorns - 2-3 pcs.;
- cloves - 2-4 pcs.;
- bay leaf - 2 pcs.;
- sugar - 4 tbsp;
- salt - 2 tbsp;
- vinegar essence (70%) - 2 tbsp.
How to cook
1. Place bay leaves, parsley, dill and cloves on the bottom of a clean and sterile jar.
2. Wash the cucumbers, remove the ends, and place them vertically in a jar.
3. Pour water into the pan, add salt, sugar and pepper, bring to a boil and pour in vinegar essence.
4. Pour the hot marinade into the jar of cucumbers to the brim, cover with a lid and place the jar in a saucepan with water.
Boil over medium heat for 20 minutes, then roll up the jars, turn them over and leave to cool at room temperature, then put them away for storage. Enjoy!
