What to cook with green beans: an incredibly tasty salad for the winter

Green beans are eaten whole, without being separated into grains. They are rich in nutrients, vitamins and microelements.

It’s just that not all housewives know what tasty and interesting things can be prepared from this vegetable.

Expert of the online publication "BelNovosti" Yulia Arkhipova , a cook and fourth-class baker, told how to prepare a very tasty salad.

You will need:

  • green beans - 2 kg;
  • carrots - 400 g;
  • onions - 400 g;
  • tomatoes - 1.5 kg;
  • vegetable oil - 400 ml;
  • vinegar (9%) - 4 tbsp;
  • salt - 2 tbsp;
  • sugar;
  • paprika - 1 tsp.

How to cook

1. Trim the ends of the green beans, cut them in half, place them in boiling water, bring to a boil and cook for 10 minutes, adding salt. Then drain in a colander.

2. Tomatoes are minced, onions are finely chopped, carrots are grated on a coarse grater. Then they are fried - first the onion, then the carrots and fried together for 5-7 minutes.

3. Place all ingredients in a saucepan, add salt, sugar, spices and cook for 15 minutes, then add vinegar and pour the salad into sterilized jars.

We close them, turn them over and, once the cans have cooled down, we put them away for storage in a dark and cool place.
