You can freeze the greenery sprigs whole, but it is better to chop them.
Just don't cut it too finely, because when defrosted the greens will lose their taste and aroma along with the juice.

Perhaps the most important thing is the container. You don’t need to freeze dill in a large jar that you’ll have to take out of the freezer every time you need to cook something with greens. Temperature changes will affect the taste and quality.
