Who said that at the dacha you have to eat only canned food or instant pasta?
Once you've dealt with your gardening chores, you can prepare a gorgeous, but very simple pie with green onions and cheese for dinner.
Expert of the online publication "BelNovosti" Yulia Arkhipova - a cook and fourth-class baker - told how to do this.
You will need:
- butter 180 g;
- eggs 2 pcs;
- flour 300 g;
- baking powder 10 g;
- sugar 1 tsp;
- salt to taste,
- water 4 tbsp;
- onion (feathers) 700 g;
- cheese 270 g;
- vegetable oil.
How to cook
1. Sift flour mixed with baking powder into a bowl and add a pinch of salt and sugar. Mix and separate the whites from the yolks – you need the yolk in the dough.
2. Grate butter on a large grater, mix with flour and add water. Knead the dough 2/3 and 1/3 and put in the freezer for 30 minutes.
3. Chop the onion, grate the cheese on a coarse grater and mix with the onion, then add the remaining whites and mix.
4. Grease the pan with oil and first grate 2/3 of the dough, then put in the filling and grate the remaining dough on top.
Bake in an oven preheated to 180 degrees Celsius for 40 minutes. Enjoy!
