Not the most common option, but strawberries can be used to make cold soup.
Expert of the online publication "BelNovosti" Yulia Arkhipova , a cook and fourth-class baker, told how to prepare gazpacho with strawberries and basil.
You will need:
- strawberries - 300 g;
- tomatoes - 300 g;
- pepper (sweet red) - 100 g;
- cucumber - 70 g;
- olive oil - 1 tbsp;
- lemon juice - 1 tbsp. l.;
- basil (fresh green) - 8 g;
- salt to taste.
How to cook
1. Wash the sweet pepper, remove the seeds, and cut the flesh into cubes.
2. Wash the strawberries and remove the stems. Peel the cucumber and cut into small slices.
3. Wash the tomatoes and cut into slices.
4. Grind the berries and vegetables in a blender into a puree, then add lemon juice and oil, salt and a little red pepper to taste.
Put it in the refrigerator and, after it cools down, serve the gazpacho with strawberries, garnished with basil leaves. Enjoy!
