Summer has just begun, which means that the barbecue season is in full swing. What do you think: what goes best with barbecue?
You probably answered correctly – with vegetables. The recipe for this very vegetable snack was shared with us by the expert of the online publication “BelNovosti”, chef Yulia Arkhipova .
As per tradition, we start with the list of ingredients.
To prepare the snack, you will need 3-5 medium-sized tomatoes, and also:
- 2-3 bell peppers;
- 3-4 cloves of garlic;
- 100 ml vegetable oil (preferably olive oil);
- 2 tablespoons apple cider vinegar;
- 2 teaspoons sugar;
- salt and spices – to taste.
Wash the bell pepper, remove the seeds and chop coarsely, then place the resulting pieces in a blender bowl.
Add peeled garlic to it and chop until smooth.
Now put the vegetable mixture in a suitable container, and in the blender bowl (you don’t even have to wash it) you need to mix the olive oil with salt, sugar, vinegar and spices – black pepper, basil, paprika.
Mix all ingredients, then pour the sauce over the sliced tomatoes.
Put the snack in the refrigerator for an hour. After this time, sprinkle the dish with chopped herbs and you can serve it.
