Omelette is one of the favorite dishes that are prepared for breakfast. Usually meat products are added, but vegetables are no exception.
Here's how to make an omelette not only tasty, but also healthy.
Expert of the online publication "BelNovosti" Yulia Arkhipova , a cook and fourth-class baker, told how to make an omelette with asparagus and basil.
You will need:
- eggs - 3 pcs.;
- parmesan - 5 g;
- green asparagus (stems) - 70–80 g;
- spinach - 10 g;
- basil (green) - 5 g;
- butter;
- salt and pepper to taste.
How to cook
1. Clean the asparagus from shoots, remove the tough part, blanch in salted boiling water for 20-30 seconds and place the sprouts in ice water. Wash the spinach and green basil and let dry.
2. Beat the eggs in a deep bowl, add salt and pepper, parmesan.
3. Melt the butter in a frying pan, pour in the egg mixture and, when the bottom layer has set and the top layer is still raw, add the chopped basil and spinach leaves.
Stir and cook the omelette under the lid until done.
Serve with blanched asparagus.
