Mashed potatoes are a popular side dish, but unfortunately they have one major drawback: the next day they turn into a hard, sticky, and therefore tasteless lump.
For this reason, the expert of the online publication BelNovosti, chef Yulia Arkhipova, shared with us a culinary technique that allows you to restore the original taste and texture of puree.
How not to reheat mashed potatoes
Many housewives simply place mashed potatoes in a microwave or frying pan to heat them up.
Thanks to these methods, the dish really does become warm again, but, unfortunately, the original taste and appetizing appearance in this case are hopelessly lost.
How to properly reheat yesterday's puree
To ensure that the puree prepared yesterday is as good as freshly prepared, you need to bring a little milk to a boil in a suitable container - a small saucepan or ladle.
Then you need to pour hot milk into yesterday's puree, mix well, add butter and put on low heat.
When the side dish is heated to the right temperature, you will see that it is soft, tender and airy, as if it was just cooked, and not the day before.
