Pancakes are prepared with kefir and yeast, from zucchini, and in some national cuisines, Belarusian draniki are called pancakes.
But you can also make pancakes from greens, or more precisely, green onions.
Expert of the online publication "BelNovosti" Yulia Arkhipova , a cook and fourth-class baker, told how to make pancakes from green onions.
You will need:
- green onions - 200 g;
- eggs - 2 pcs.;
- flour - 70 g;
- salt and pepper to taste;
- vegetable oil for frying.
How to cook
1. Wash the onion greens and shake to remove excess moisture, then chop finely and place in a deep bowl.
2. In a separate bowl, beat the eggs with salt and pepper. When ready, sift the flour, mix and let stand for 5-7 minutes.
3. Add onion to the dough, mix, heat the frying pan and bake like regular pancakes with kefir or yeast.
Onion pancakes are served with sour cream or fresh vegetable salad. Enjoy your meal!
