Usually, recipes for homemade sauce suggest pouring vegetable oil in a thin stream while continuously whisking the yolk, but the expert of the online publication BelNovosti, chef Yulia Arkhipova, found a simpler recipe.
We will start, as always, with a list of the necessary ingredients. You will need:
- 100 g unrefined mustard oil,
- 1 chicken egg (can be replaced with 5 quail eggs),
- Salt and pepper to taste.
- If desired, you can add other additives to homemade mayonnaise – turmeric or other favorite spices.
In addition to the listed products, you will also need special equipment – an immersion blender.
So, after everything is ready, you can begin the cooking process.
Break an egg into a bowl, add butter, salt and pepper to taste.
Using a blender, mix the ingredients – this process usually takes 1-2 minutes. The exact time depends on the power of the blender.
That's all - the sauce can be used or stored in the refrigerator, but not more than 2-3 days.
